The National Association of Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, which takes place every year on the second Saturday in May, is taking place this year on Saturday May 11th. All you need to do to participate is leave a bag of non-perishables at your doorstep and your letter carrier will collect it to be donated to a local food bank.
This year, Tom Tosti, Director of AFSCME District Council 88, will be coordinating monetary donations for bags to be mailed to union members' homes as a way to encourage food drive donations. Affiliate locals are encouraged to donate $200 each. If you would like to donate and have your union's logo on the bag, please contact Mr. Tosti at TomT[at]afscme13.org.
